Javed Akhtar Criticizes 'Animal'

The film "Animal" faced criticism from several quarters, with some arguing that the film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga is toxic and misogynistic. Recently, Javed Akhtar also referenced "Animal" while addressing the concept of the 'angry young man' in films. He commented that expressing irrational anger not directed at a specific issue starts to turn a character into a caricature. He said, "I haven't seen 'Animal.' People have told me about it. I read in the news that he asked her to lick his shoe. She bends down, but thankfully, they cut it right there."
